Slag Removal – When we heat the metal, slag is collected, and it is cleaned from the front of the shell by the car. This front door is cleaned (but not always). This process is done at any time between the tapping, and before the pouring of metal is started. It is not necessary for this activity to happen in every heat. This activity is only tracked if this is some activity that is delaying the process. This activity happens in parallel with activities. For example, it is happening before levelling but it is still going on after levelling and due to this, top lance or levelling is getting delayed, then we record the time for this activity.
